- The Beaches are Beautiful
Beaches in Turks & Caicos are known for their beauty, and Grand Turk’s Beaches are no exception. Governor’s Beach is just steps from the port. The water is clear-blue and the sand is soft and white. No water shoes needed here – the beach is rock-free.
- It’s Next-Level Relaxing
Are you looking for a place to have a relaxing beach day on your cruise? The Grand Turk Port is the place to do just that. Take a left out of the cruise port to step onto Governor’s Beach, walk to the end of the beach, and stop in front of Jack’s Shack. Grab an I-Ain-Ga-Lie, the island’s local beer, and lay out on the beach. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas available. Spend the day on the beach in front of Jack’s Shack, then stop in the pool at Margaritaville on your way back to the ship. Everything is walking distance to the cruise ship, so there is no stressing about getting back to the ship on time.
- It’s So Cheap
The Grand Turk Cruise Port is literally right on Governor’s Beach, and it’s beautiful. There is no need to take a taxi to any other part of the island. There are Grand Turk excursions available, but I have never felt a need to do anything except enjoy the beach there. If you avoid Margaritaville, food and drinks are relatively inexpensive. We enjoyed jerk chicken, fries, and I-Ain-Ga-Lie at Jack’s Shack for less than twenty dollars.
Great Post! If you have a moment check out my blog as well!
