I caught my first travel bug during my Sophomore year at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). I saw a flyer about studying abroad in Oxford, England for a summer and basically became obsessed with the idea of going, so I did! It was one of the quickest decisions I have ever made, but it was also one of the best. It’s hard to explain how it feels to catch a travel bug to someone who has never had it, but the best way I can describe it is an intense desire to get out of the normal day-to-day routine to experience and see something brand new.

My personal leisure travel resume isn’t super long or fancy… yet! In all I have only been to 7 countries, many of which have been quick cruise stops. For the most part I do a lot of whirlwind weekend trips in the Southeast US. That’s where I live with the love of my life and best friend, Bryant, and our sweet babies, Reese and Cooper (all pictured below). I’m lucky enough to have found a guy who wants to experience as much out of life as I do!

Full disclosure: If you don’t know me and haven’t guessed already, I am not a full time traveler! I have a normal day job as the Senior Project Director at a small market research firm (think: surveys). As someone who is very detail oriented and overly analytical, market research is a perfect fit for me. And get this – the majority of our clients are destination marketing organizations (think: VISIT FLORIDA), so I get to travel often all over the state of Florida to all kinds of different destinations for work for free! I know what you’re thinking, work travel… not fun. However, work travel has opened up opportunities for me to experience some pretty unique destinations that I may not have ever otherwise seen.
I always try my hardest to get the most out of each and every trip I take, whether it’s work or play. I believe that all trips, big or small, near or far, short or long, budget or luxury, are what you make them. I’m here to document my personal travel experiences for memories sake, but I also want to share how I make the most of all of the traveling I do, and hopefully give you an idea of how you can too!
Great job girl!!!
